The Discovery Bus attended the open days at the Mesolithic Site of Beg-er-vil in the Quiberon Peninsula on the 8th and 9th June.

Almost 200 students from several Primary and Secondary schools in Quiberon attended the activities delivered by the Discovery Bus. Moreover, the general public also attended the excavation and Discovery Bus during the open days.

The technical resources within the Discovery Bus (ie Electronic Microscope and flat screen TV) were used by the Archaeologist working on the site to explain to  students and the general public about the main characteristics of the archaeological site.  They also learned about the background of the excavation, and were able to take a closer look at some of the archaeological material recovered from the site.

Many teachers were impressed by the innovative and pedagogical approach displayed by the Discovery Bus and in the way it presented Archaeology and History to inspire and educate young people.
